CHESTER — November 2, 2026. Plumas County’s official emergency resources page identifies Genasys Alerts and Genasys Protect as separate tools for emergency warnings and evacuation-zone information.
Register a reachable address
The county says users should enter a home address and phone number when enrolling in alerts. This helps provide location-relevant information about disasters such as wildfire, hazardous material incidents or evacuations.
Find the zone
Genasys Protect displays county evacuation zones, while additional county links direct residents to current road information, power outages and National Weather Service products. Save the zone name in a place accessible to family members.
What a saved map cannot do
A zone map is a preparedness tool, not proof that a road is currently open or a community has been ordered to evacuate. Follow live notices and law enforcement instructions during incidents.
